CA Data Center - Senate Communicating with Congress API blocking non-US traffic
Resolved - As of 9am Eastern, Engaging Networks can confirm that The Senate Communicating with Congress API has unblocked US traffic and messages are able to be delivered.

As of 10am Eastern, Engaging Networks has implemented a temporary configuration change to enable non-US clients to communicate with the Congress API for Senate Communications. We have confirmed that CA clients are now sending messages to the US Senate.

The Senate Communicating with Congress API is now blocking all traffic due to cybersecurity implementation. This status has been updated to expand the impacted data centers, but still only impacts the Senate.

This is not limited to Engaging Networks, but impacts any applications utilizing the Senate Communicating with Congress environments.

Databases: US Senate (US House is not affected)

The Senate Communicating with Congress API is blocking all traffic from outside the US due to the recently-disclosed PHP vulnerabilities. As a result, no messages can be delivered to the US Senate from client accounts in the CA datacenter. CWC have indicated this will remain blocked until all Senate systems are remediated. Engaging Networks is pressing for a specific timeline and will continue to update this page.

Scheduled - Engaging Networks will be unavailable for a period of no more than 90 minutes for a scheduled maintenance event.

During this time, the system is intentionally taken offline and users temporarily lose access to the platform. This is to ensure that updates can be applied safely, resulting in better performance, reliability, and security once services resume.

For the duration of the maintenance period:
- Email jobs and scheduled profile runs are paused. They will restart once the maintenance is completed.
- The platform will experience intermittent availability.

PHP Security Vulnerabilities
Resolved - The security patches for the recent PHP vulnerabilities have been released. Our team successfully deployed the fix to P2P2 (Legacy P2P) shortly after 4:00 PM.

Monitoring - On October 21, 2026, two security vulnerabilities affecting PHP, a programming language used by a large share of websites worldwide, were publicly disclosed. Our team has been monitoring the situation closely.

What this means for you:
• P2P2 (Legacy P2P) is the only part of the Engaging Networks platform affected. All other areas of the platform are not impacted.
• P2P2 (Legacy P2P) sits behind Cloudflare, which deployed protections against these vulnerabilities before they were publicly announced. That protection is active now.
• We will apply the PHP security update to P2P2 (Legacy P2P) as soon as it is available, and will update this page once it is complete.

No action is needed on your part. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Account Manager or our Support team.
